What is Estate and Capacity Planning?

Estate and capacity planning refers to the actions you take to manage your assets in the event of your incapacitation or death.

This generally includes the preparation of documents including a Will, Enduring Power of Attorney and Superannuation Death Benefit Nominations.

At Equinox we offer a service to review the tax consequences of your estate and capacity planning documents.

Why is it so important?

We’re not lawyers and that means we can’t draft or prepare these documents.

Our job as accountants, is to review your Estate documents and help you to avoid any potential costly tax consequences.

These documents should be reviewed every few years and any time your circumstances or wishes change.
